DJ Classix is a social & corporate Event DJ based in Lagos, Nigeria and the convener of The DJ Classix Rooftop Experience, A quarterly AfroGospel rooftop event held in Lagos Nigeria celebrating AfroGospel music and buildling a community through games, performances from music artists and mixes by DJ Classix himself. I was commissioned by Dj Classix and his team to create an illustration, logo design and possible merch design options for The Feast, the 1-year anniversary celebration of the DJ Classix Rooftop Experience.

The project began with the ideation phase, during which a moodboard was created to define the look and feel of the illustration, logo design and possible merch ideas and preliminary concept sketches were created to communicate the ideas of a feast with DJ Classix at the centre serving his community "hot jams and meals". The colour palette chosen was a variation of blues, yellows, oranges and browns chosen to reflect the warm summer sky and the afrocentric nature of the brand, and the font chosen was Tusker Grotesk 6700, a bold but legible font.
After the preliminary sketches were approved by the client, I then went on to complete the illustration and worked with the client's feedback to create the final product as seen.
I then provided the clients with a few assets for the client and his team. These assets include editable text templates, merch design concepts, and a photoshop document containing the finished Illustration for motion graphic teaser clips, promotional materials and printing.
